A Big fraud company. They gave us a quote 2300$ first and we told then what we need to move. Driver showed up and we told him we have pottery klin to move with other stuff in house. It was in his list and he showed that too. After 3 hours in loading 3/4 house they asked 1000$ on the top of 7000$ which was way off the estimate just to move klin. We talked to people on the phone and they blackmail us and ask pay 1000$ or unload the truck. We unload the truck and now they are saying the we refused the service so they won't give us our deposit money back which was totally false we never refused the service. we wanted to move klin with them and we already talk to them 3 times about it before they showed up today and they sounds like it's not a big deal we moved things like that. They also told us go hire lawyer we will deal with them. So we they took all they payment we made them and now we are here now ended up with all the house still need to move. Totally unethical company and fraud. we are filing claim very soon. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Very disappointed in Presidential Van lines and would not use again nor recommend. They were very poor in calculating the cost and lied several times to get my business. We moved my mother from KS to FL. The sales person asked us for the main items of which we gave. What we did not know is that they only allocated 600 Sqft which is half a 26 foot truck. Of which we didn't know they were sending. Since we are not experts in moving, 600 sqft did not register with me and it was clear we needed much more than half a truck (and we were ok to pay a little more). The move cost us $3000 MORE! Of course, we said yes to the original $2900 since we knew it would cost us that to move ourselves. But it ended up costing us $4700. We also didn't know that Presidential Van lines contract it out to another company and they don't actual move so we paid them for nothing! The other company take the items to Dallas and wait until a 18 wheeler is full until moving it. They also told us it would take 3-4 days to get our stuff but it took 6. They DID NOT call us when the truck was on the way, nor did they call when the movers were about to deliver. I had to call the other company and get the drivers name who ended up texting me with date and time. So..very poor on quote, on time, on telling us we could use credit card at both ends, and on delivery timeframe.

This company is a broker not an actual moving company. They will take your deposit and not work with you the rest of the move. They gave me two days that were set for scheduled pickup days. The first day bypassed and then the second as well. I called multiple times trying to see if something was in the works with the actual moving company. I never got an answer. My scheduled time from was between 12-4. I called during that time and was told that it was still within the estimated time of arrival and not to worry. 4 came and passed. I called again and was told they would get back to me. An hour and a half later I was told that the truck broke down and they wouldn't have it fixed until tomorrow from 10-noon. I would need to sign another contract saying that I would move Sunday. Fabulous, I love sitting around with everything packed and losing work days! Sunday, I call at 10 to see if the truck was fixed as I hadn't heard anything. Nobody answers. I call the emergency line. Nobody answers, so I leave a message. Nobody calls me back. I call at 10:30 same thing. 11, someone finally answers and tells me that I'm within my call window but they will call to see. I never get a call back. At noon the moving company texts me and tells me they will be there between 4-4:30pm! I immediately call the number and tell them they were supposed to be here at noon. I get told they couldn't because of the rain and traffic (it was not raining). I call PVL.They will definitely be there around 4. Definitely. I cancel. But in order to cancel you have to write an email to them. I call another company and get it settled that they will show on Monday. The moving company shows up at the house at 6pm! I call PVL and am confused. She says, well you can use their services if you want, I'm sure they will take it. No, I cancelled. Well they couldn't get a hold of the moving company. DO NOT USE PVL. They will not give you a refund even if everything they do is a complete failure. They just want your money and they are crooked.

These guys were awesome! Professional and courteous - from the front office to the movers. They called to confirm and when they came they were on time. I can't say enough great things about them. We called them last minute and they were very accommodating. We had to move our stuff into storage but once we find a new home we will definitely be calling on them move again. These guys are totally trustworthy and took the stress out of moving. Thanks Presidential Van Lines!

Move size: Office Move Service cost: $2600

I'm not a fan of moving - who is, really? But this service made it more than bearable. Due to work, I had to relocate from Kansas all the way to Florida and moving seemed like an impossible task. This was a fast move, but the company moved fast, they were courteous, they stuck to their quote, the movers showed up early and did a great job, and, once in Florida, I was extremely happy with how they handed my stuff. Nothing was broken - everything was well cared for. I couldn't have asked for a company to give me a better experience. They are worth every dime I've paid.

This company was hired by my mom to move my gma from NY to MO. My mom spent HOURS on the phone with them going over what would be moved and was given a quote. When moving day came they actually ended up moving less than when my mom was quoted but yet were charging her $2,000 more. Not only were they 3 hours late, after it was loaded (on a Monday) they informed her it would be 7-10 days before it would be delivered. WHAT!! Today is day 13 and not one word from this company. DO NOT USE THEM.

An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!! I was moving from state to state and researching moving companies to assist with our move. I read all the positive reviews, spoke to Stephanie and her manager, who matched a lower price we were quoted by another company. Contract stated that all materials were included in the price and I put down a deposit. Long story short .. Presidential Van lines subcontracted another company from NJ to pick up our stuff in Long Island NY. They came, packed all, and had my elderly mother, who has a language barrier, sign a document on which they charged an additional $1400 for material!!

Long story short, after speaking to Presidential Van Lines about this issue, they informed me that my contract with them is now void since the subcontracted company takes over!! Can you imagine the SCAM they pulled?? They held my things hostage threatening to charge me loading and unloading fees and well as storage if I don’t pay! I’m out of $1400 in material fees that were supposed to be included as per my contract!! Just a bunch of crooked crooks: Stephanie, Corey, Caylie, Maggie and Natalie!!

Please please please save your money and hire a local company not a scamming company such as Presidential Van Lines!!

7/10/2018 - Worst experience of my life!! Lip service to get the deal.. customer service horrible and never did what they promised. In fact I paid 500 for a guaranteed delivery because I was starting a new job and relocated from Maryland to Florida. Only reason I went with this company is because they guaranteed delivery. Didn’t find out until I made several calls to them that the delivery was not going to make it.. they delivered the following evening but still made me pay the guaranteed rate because they said they still rushed delivery. They brokered shipment so once they got their money they no longer Cared (gentle word to describe - site did not allow profanity) about me or my situation.. read the blogs about peoples experiences and get a BBB Report. Believe what you read - there are many company’s out their they do care about your possessions and don’t lie - find a service oriented company not people that holdback information just to take your money.. would NEVER use them again - my stuff is either ruined or missing. I worked hard all my life and have always taken care of my “things”. I am so angry at the lack of customer service, negligence, false information and overall process.

To say I was overwhelmed with the moving process is an understatement: I was totally beside myself. Thankfully, Presidential Van Lines came through and provided an excellent service when I needed a reliable moving company to help me with this process. I needed EVERYTHING moved on a specific day, and more importantly I needed it all DELIVERED on an EXACT day; Presidential Van lines fulfilled that request and never once made me feel as though I was asking too much. For the rate I paid, to get this kind of service with this amount of satisfaction was something I honestly didn't expect. Presidential Van Lines is a great company offering a great service: they'll make sure your items get where they need to be, and they make sure they get there on time. I've been told by friends and family, who were happy they didn't have to assist me in the move, to relay how my experience was to them. After hearing me rave, many of them are considering purchasing the service themselves, should the time ever come when they decide to move.

An old time country boy like myself doesn’t like to play any games when it comes down to Buisness. This is why I am here to recommend presidential van lines the process was smooth the whole way through. From the first call until the follow up courtesy call once my items were dropped off I was treated with nothing but respect. I appreciate good people and in this day and age it’s hard to find I can say my experience with the men who showed up was fantastic they were in uniform and professional. Best of all my wife was even happy with the moving experience!

I was thoroughly impressed with Presidential Van Lines! Their customer service by far exceeded every expectation I had set. From the initial phone call to the day of the move, they were helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They are a hard-working, friendly group of people that do their best to ease the stress of a big move. I would recommend Presidential Van Lines to anyone in search of a moving company with reasonable prices and excellent customer service!

DO NOT move with Presidential Van Lines. They are not a moving company, they are a broker. They may connect you with disreputable companies, and they will not defend you when things go wrong with them. You are at significant risk of being overcharged and receiving unacceptable service if you use them.

My experience:

Bottom Line - Estimated cost $4775 Final Cost $6900

1. The day they were scheduled to arrive they missed. The following day they were supposed to arrive at 10am. After calling several times, and eventually expressing my anger on the phone. The movers arrived at 4pm high on marijuana.

2. After picking up my things, and before they weighed the truck they asked me for $2500 additional dollars as a 'flat rate' to avoid any additional charges I may have incurred if I went over the estimated rate. I declined this. When they took the truck to the weigh station that night they confirmed over the phone that I was actually $300 under the weight estimate.

3. Prior to delivering my things, they were being held in storage. A representative from the company they contracted to work with me called me and literally yelled at me over the phone for not having requested delivery. He told me that my delivery charges were $700, even though presidential had told me 1 month of storage was free.

4. Fearing for my things, I scheduled deliveryfor June 25th at 12pm. For two days they confirmed this. On the delivery date, they told me they would not be able to delivery until 9 which was unacceptable.

5. Upon delivery of my items, my bill was updated to show 2000K of extra weight. The company was able to offer no proof of this increased cost. After arguing they agreed to take $700 off of this cost. When I complained about the lack of documentation on the phone, with Presidential Van Lines, they hung up the phone on me.

Moving from Illinois to Detroit went much more smoothly with Presidential Van Lines. They made the process very easy and explained everything clearly upfront.

When preparing to move across states I was personally concerned about a moving company mishandling my furniture during the dissembling process or the reassembling process. Presidential Van Lines delivered on their promise to handle my things with care. Nothing had to be replaced, nothing was scratched or nicked.

For the high level of customer service and a job well done I would say it was worth the $2195. I was actually given a higher quote from other companies but this company helped me stay in budget. Their professionalism for the price is unbeatable!

I have truly never been so horrified with a moving experience. We were quoted a number upfront, which seemed great. However, when the company arrived, we had the exact same number of items as discussed, yet I was charged an additional $800 because the space they used to estimate it was simply incorrect. I reluctantly paid and moved forward because I was in a hurry to move, and off I went. I arrived at my new location and the established window (within 1 week) was blown past with no delivery. I started calling the customer service team, who was initially very nice, but incredibly inept. They never called me back when they promised to, they never followed up on anything, my delivery kept getting pushed back and pushed back. It reached a point that I was without all of my items for an entire month, at which point they stated that it was within the contract to have more time than this, even though I was promised otherwise. Eventually, I started to realize that they truly did not care about me whatsoever, and they already had their money. Once my items finally arrived - an entire month late - they had the audacity to try to charge me an extra stair and elevator fee. Not only that, but several of our items of furniture didn't get delivered, and we ended up with some of someone else's items, too! I truly cannot describe how enraged and frustrating this experience was and absolutely what a sham this company is! I have read reviews and reports to the Better Business Bureau since this time, and it looks like many people never even had their items arrive, so I'll count myself lucky. Do yourself a favor and FIND A DIFFERENT MOVING COMPANY! Otherwise you'll be out $3000+ and an entire month of living without your furniture. It is absolutely unbelievable that they're still in business.
